For many young people, the traditional classroom environment is not the ideal place to thrive. When mainstream education feels overwhelming, it can lead to disengagement, anxiety, and a drop in academic confidence. At Sitting Rite Education, we believe that every learner deserves a path to success—even if that path looks a little different.

Alternative Provision (AP) refers to education arranged for children who, because of exclusion, illness, or other reasons, may not receive suitable education in a mainstream school. It is designed to provide a flexible, personalized curriculum that supports emotional wellbeing, behavior, and academic re-engagement.

Traditional settings are often rigid, but our approach prioritizes the individual:

  • Flexible Learning Programmes: We tailor content to match the learner’s pace and interests, removing the pressure of a one-size-fits-all model.
  • Emotional & Wellbeing Support: By focusing on the “whole child,” we help students manage the stresses that often lead to school avoidance.
  • Re-engagement: Our mentoring and life skills training help students rebuild their relationship with learning, making education feel rewarding again.

At Sitting Rite Education, we don’t just provide lessons; we provide a community. We work closely with families and local authorities to ensure that every student has a support network that values their unique potential. From functional skills development to dedicated mentoring, our goal is to help learners navigate their challenges and regain their confidence.

If you feel that your child is falling behind or struggling to engage in their current school environment, it may be time to explore alternative pathways. At Sitting Rite Education, we are here to ensure that no learner is left behind.
